This is a 3D ramen face mask that a Japanese artist, Takahiro Shibata, has created. The reason for this creation is because of the fogging up of the glasses when wearing a face mask. It is definitely an inconvenience for spectacles wearer, especially during a conversation.

Takashiro Shibata then decides to take matters into his own hands and be creative with this problem. I guess this artist really applied the whole “when life gives you lemons, make lemonade” phrase into this issue and it’s paying off.

Moreover, the animator and artist explain that the more his spectacles fog up while he wears this ramen face mask, it means that the hotter and steamier the bowl of ramen on his face mask is. Isn’t that the best explanation that you can tell the person that you’re talking to if this happens to you. It will definitely bring out a chuckle or two from that person rather than making it an awkward situation.

Besides that, this realistic looking ramen mask has everything that you can find in that comforting dish such as chashu braised pork, green onions, bamboo shoots, and a slice of fish cake. This 3D ramen face mask is made out of felt and clay. However, Takashiro Shibata mentions that he has no plans on selling this mask or his other artwork. Sorry foodies! We won’t be able to get one of these cool mask anytime soon.
