What do Penangites love the most other than eating? It’s without a doubt, supporting a good cause! Penangites have always been known for their warm and friendly demeanour and not forgetting generosity. It’s time to put the actions into words. Introducing Lighthouse Cafe, a lovely cafe tucked away in the homey neighbourhood of George Town which is in it for a good cause. Yes, that’s right! The cafe supports vocational training and parts of the proceeds go to charity and education. Very sweet and thoughtful of the owner!

Must-try items in The Lighthouse Cafe
Chicken Pies
Who doesn’t love a good chicken pie for breakfast, lunch and dinner? Never too many chicken pies! Each day over 300 pieces of chicken pies are sold, which literally speaks for its goodness and yumminess. They come in 2 flavours – creamy and curry. Both are totally recommended because of the crustiness of the pastry layers accompanied by the generous fillings!
Pork Bacon Pizza
We’re loving this spot more and more! Every pizza is made upon order and with lots of love. The owner’s totally not stingy when it comes to the cheese and bacon – sprinkling them unto the pizza non-stop until every corner is covered. Oven-baked for 10 minutes resulting in gooey and stretchy cheese. Heart eyes for cheese!
Char Hor Fun
Last but not least, the char hor fun is delightful as well. We were told that it’s fried plate by plate, no wonder each plate tastes so rich and good. They nailed it perfectly from the taste to the texture and gravy. The key here is definitely the gravy infused with eggs, forming a gooey concoction to complement the noodles.
Show some encouragement to them!
The title says it all, so remember to drop by today to try out their awesome chicken pies, char hor fun and not forgetting pizzas. It would be really great and kind of you to show them some love and encouragement. We shall catch you there hehe.
