If you’re often on social media, you could see that Batu Kawan is on fire in developing the surrounding empty lands to bring you more, especially after the opening of IKEA. Previously, Design Village Outlet Mall is already a popular choice to Penangites for shopping and hanging out when it first opened.
Coming in hot, the first ever IKEA in the northern region of Malaysia came into the picture. We were crazzzy about IKEA (read about how IKEA Batu Kawan actually sold 32, 000 meatballs on their opening day!) and I’m pretty sure everyone else shares our feelings too!
The First TGV Cinema In Batu Kawan
Ikano Centres, which is part of IKEA Southeast Asia, develops and manages all the shopping centres anchored by IKEA stores in the region. They have a vision of opening up the first ever TGV cinema over at Batu Kawan! It’ll be launched together with Ikano Batu Kawan Shopping Mall, which is in 2022. You heard it from us first, don’t forget. According to TGV, the cinema will have 16 halls which able to cater 1188 moviegoers.
We hope you’re as excited as us about it! Have a little patience and trust me when I say 2 years is going to pass by in a blink of an eye. For now, let’s enjoy whatever we have.
