Hello there guys! We’re here to convey a rather important piece of news. Ribena Malaysia has just released an official statement that they are conducting a voluntary withdrawal of the Ribena®️ Blackcurrant Fruit Cordial. Keep reading to find out more.
Voluntary Withdrawal Of The Ribena®️ Blackcurrant Fruit Cordial
As Malaysians, the Ribena Blackcurrant Fruit Cordial is the epitome of our childhood. It’s that one beverage that’s easy to prepare and makes the perfect thirst-quencher. Growing up, we would make a cup of Ribena after coming home from school. All it takes is some amount of cordial, add in some water and ice for a chilly cup of beverage.
Today, Ribena Malaysia has posted on its official Facebook page that they are withdrawing the Ribena®️ Blackcurrant Fruit Cordial with expiry dates from 17 August 2021 to 16 October 2021. In addition, three sizes of the cordials are to be recalled back, they are the 600ml, 1 litre as well as 2 litres.
The reason for withdrawal is that there have been feedbacks that these cordials may “have changed in appearance and taste prior to the expiry dates.” As a result of this, Ribena Malaysia is conducting an investigation to determine the root cause.
