PPP Car Plate Number Prices Are Out and the Most Expensive Number is Sold at RM260k

Hello foodies, how are you? Have you ever came across a certain car plate number and thought “Wow this number is so cool” or “Waa number so nice can buy lottery liao?” Many believe that having good or exclusive number plate represents status and brings in wealth. Well the more exclusive, the more expensive. The bidding result of the latest PPP car plate number series is out, receiving a whopping RM7.3milion over the five-day auction. The question is, which one has the highest bid?

PPP Car Plate Number Series Fetches RM7.3mil During Auction:

According to Road Transport Department (JPJ), the bidding was opened from 5-9 November, and has collected a total of RM7,257,785. Any guesses on which number is the most popular? The answer is PPP 8999, with 33 bidders and the highest bid was RM12,888. The second most popular number, PPP 999 had 28 bidders and was sold at the price of RM106,000.

While these two numbers are the most popular, they aren’t the most expensive. As some might ask, the most expensive plate number is no other than the single digit, PPP 1, sold at RM260,000! Be sure to take a photo or two if you ever bumped into a car with this number plate, who knows it might bring you some luck?

JPJ deputy director general (strategy and operations) Zamakshari Hanipah said that the rest of the remaining unregistered PPP car plate numbers would be open to the public for purchase. Golden numbers will start at a minimum bidding price of RM20,000. If you’re interested, contact the state or branch JPJ office.

The new minimum bidding price starts from RM315 to RM21,000, and you can join the auction via JPJebid online bidding system.
