As fun as it sounds, the Pesta Pulau Pinang 2020 will not be taking place this year. This is because Malaysia is currently putting on a battle against the global pandemic of COVID-19. In line with this, several SOPs include social distancing, and to avoid visiting crowded places.

According to an official post on the Facebook page of Pesta Pulau Pinang, it was announced that Majlis Mesyuarat Kerajaan Negeri Pulau Pinang (MMK) has decided after a meeting to cancel this year’s annual Pesta Pulau Pinang. Though this may be a piece of sad news to some, we should still prioritise the safety and wellbeing of one another.
