Hi family and friends, we know we often pop up on your feed sharing about the best eats in Penang. But today, instead of doing that, we have decided to share something rather important. As we all know, Penang is no longer a green zone after reporting new cases over the past week.
Southwest Penang Island Reported 1 New Case Today
Today, there’s another new case in Penang according to the Penang Lawan COVID-19 and Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia‘s Facebook pages. The COVID-19 positive patient is in the southwest area of Penang island (Barat Daya). And, Southwest of Penang island covers the area of Balik Pulau as well as Bayan Lepas.
In addition to that, this patient belongs to the Tawar Cluster, whereby a total of 261 persons were screened and tested. As of 14th August 2020, 12PM, Malaysia reported 20 new COVID-19 cases. Among the 20 cases, 13 of them are local cases while the remaining 7 are imported cases.
