Update: The Penang Street Food Festival 2018 returns! This Merdeka (National Day) weekend – 1 & 2 September, let’s all be at Penang’s Beach Street (Lebuh Pantai) to feast and indulge. All the Penang street food that you can think of (mainland and island), 120 stalls of street food filling up Beach Street and an ambience of a pop-up garden!

Penang International Food Festival 2018 (PIFF 2018) is back! This year, PIFF 2018 will be hosting a two-week event, featuring an exciting eating experience in Penang. The event will start from 14 April to 29 April 2018. Dear all foodies, are you ready for the largest food event in Penang? PIFF 2018 will be the place for food, stories, experience, culture and traditions.
Penang International Food Festival 2018
The Penang International Food Festival returns! PIFF 2018 returns this year with 16 days of mouth-watering food and drink. Imbued with rich history and tradition from an array of cultures, Penang’s culinary landscape has for decades now brought food fans from different corners of the globe to the food capital of Malaysia – Penang.
PIFF 2018 is a two-week event and below is the breakdown of the events.
1. Street Food Festival
With precious recipes passed down generations, the hawker heroes that feature prominently in Penang’s food landscape are a hardworking breed dedicated to satisfying their diners. Be awed by these culinary magicians as they display their cooking prowess and deliver delectable delights that will make you run back for seconds. At Street Food Festival (SFF), there will also be fireworks, a fun fair, traditional performances, and a photobooth to capture all your unforgettable SFF memories.

PIFF 2018: Crispy Fryday

2. Taste Of Penang
Taste of Penang will feature some of Penang’s most popular cafes, hotels, and restaurants that specialise in modern Penang cuisine. Instead of having to visit Penang’s many different eateries and hotels, simply check out TOP as all of Penang’s finest chefs will descend at Jalan Kelawai for an epic, gastronomical 2 days. Programme highlights include a magic show.

3. Food Truck Invasion
The last weekend of April will feature a jaw-dropping 150 food trucks from all over Malaysia and the Southeast Asian region. Feast your eyes on a panoply of colourful food choices, both modern and traditional. Accompanying the smorgasbord of culinary delights will be live performances by local and international buskers and outdoor theatre performances.
