Penang’s Iconic Apong Guan Now Has A Food Truck At Bayan Baru
Apong Guan is no stranger to both locals and tourists. Operating from a humble pushcart along the bustling Burma Road, this iconic street snack has been around for over 50 years. At Apong Guan, you’ll get only 1 original flavour that is a combination of banana slices and crunchy corn.

Each piece of Apong is made in a nine-hole griddle with a scoop of batter followed by its fillings. The end result is a fluffy piece of Apong nicely filled with crunchy corn and sweet banana slices. These bite-sized snacks are perfect to satiate one’s craving.

If you reside further away from town, then good news because Apong Guan has already opened a new truck over at Bayan Baru. To those wondering, you can easily locate Apong Guan in front of TM Point Jalan Mahsuri, close to Bayan Baru Food Court.
