Newest COVID-19 Cluster In Penang
According the statement that was made yesterday (20th September, Sunday) by Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, the index case of this cluster is a 44-year-old Malaysian. The man was confirmed positive when he traveled from the peninsular to Sandakan, Sabah on 15th September.
Since then, 16 related individuals were identified and tested. In which two of them were tested positive for COVID-19. the second patient is a seven-year-old child who is a nephew to the victim mentioned before. The child was tested positive on 19th September and has been admitted in Penang General Hospital for treatment.

No Deaths Were Reported
MOH reassured the public that infection prevention measures was made at the involved locations. “The cause of the infection is still under investigation.” said Dr Noor Hisyam. Additonally, it was also made clear that the state discovered 21 cases since August 6th and no death was reported yet up until the 20th Sept 2020.

Meanwhile, the MOH added that the public should not take light of the new norm regulations. Please kindly remember to avoid 3C; crowded places, confined space, and close conversations. Additonally, do remember to practice 3W as well; wash hands, wear masks, and warn each other for your own safety.
