Stunning New Murals By Local Talents Spotted In Penang
All over Penang, there are plenty of murals by local artists that each depicts its own unique background story. You can commonly locate them around walls or on containers around Penang. But this time, you will get to feast your eyes on these murals right inside of Sunway Carnival Mall.
A total of 4 new wall murals glorify the mall so without further ado, let’s get down to the story and contributing artists of these artworks.
Nature Is Not The Enemy by Encik Amir
This mural depicts a man laying down comfortably on natural ground while spending time with wild animals. It’s a metaphor towards the endangered species that we can actually enjoy nature without disturbing its ecological balance.
Social Distancing by Bibichun (LG Floor)
This painting showcases a young lady in a living room surrounded by greens and at the same time, indulging in solitude. While social distancing is now a part of the new norm, so is living in solitude. It leads us through a quality journey of self-reflection, connecting our inner soul thus finding our respective inner peace.
Future by Art Keong/Lyana (2nd Floor)
As for this mural, it portrays the new generation looking into the future through a new lens after battling the epidemic. It also represents creating new opportunities for healthier future lifestyles. At the same time, it is with hopes that humans can also help improve our environment and ecology.
Hope by Suhaimi Ali (UG Floor)
This mural is to illustrate that the future belongs to the younger generation. Our global forest resources are our birthright, and each one of us has the responsibility to protect and conserve it for our future generations. It will be up to us to bring people together for the greater good, to unite the world in the spirit of conserving our global forest resources, for the benefit of generations to come.
