Hi there friends and family! This is the 2nd week of CMCO for us in Penang as well as other states. The CMCO was announced back then after a surge of cases. Today, we’re here to convey the news to you guys that the Maybank Greenlane branch will be closed from today onwards until further notice. The reason? The bank is taking a precautionary measure to close the branch and undergo some sanitisation works after reports of a COVID-19 case.
Maybank Greenlane Closed Until Further Notice
According to an official statement posted right outside of Maybank Greenlane, the branch will be closed from today onwards. Furthermore, the reason for closure is due to a report of COVID-19 case among the staff members (close contact) but this has proven false.
None of the Maybank staff was a close contact or tested COVID-19 positive and Maybank stated that the case has taken place outside of the branch. However, as a precautionary measure, the branch will be sanitised for the safety of all citizens. At the same time, Maybank encourages all of us to conduct transactions via the app or if necessary at any branch, to abide by the SOPs.
Stay Safe, Penangites!
On the other hand, Penang reports 29 new cases today, with 262 current active cases. Malaysia reports 1103 new cases as of 16th November 2020. If you ever need to leave home, remember to stay safe at all times. Take care!
