Located in Penang Digital Library in the heart of Green Lane, Kenko is no stranger to the food scene in Penang. Celebrating its two years anniversary in August 2021, Kenko’s atmosphere is certainly welcoming with lush greeneries all around. During the stay-at-home period, it has been delivering fresh and premium sashimi. To celebrate its second anniversary, it has introduced a spectacular meal, Salmon DIY Kit.

Unlike anything we have ever seen before, the Salmon DIY Kit lets you make your very own meal. The interesting kit comes with fresh salmon sashimi, fried salmon skin, Japanese rice, seaweed, ebiko, and some condiments on the side. It is easy and fun to make your own sushi, or in our case, taco-looking sushi (the editor is a true foodie, and nowhere near being a chef).

We love the fact that everything is well-packed, even the seaweed comes with its own bag to retain its crunchiness. As for the taste, we couldn’t get enough of the fried salmon skin. Be careful, try not to finish it before making your very own ‘taco’. Surprisingly filling, one Salmon DIY Kit is priced at RM36. It works as a meal or a sharing platter among family. Salmon DIY Kit is available for a limited time only.
