For the past several months, we had been eating at home. Although fully vaccinated individuals are allowed to dine-in, staying at home at the moment is a splendid idea. Staying at home doesn’t mean that we need to sacrifice a good meal. If you are looking for some fun to spark up your meals, this brand-new salmon DIY Kit will definitely do the trick!
Kenko Introduces First-Ever Salmon DIY Kit In Penang
Located in Penang Digital Library in the heart of Green Lane, Kenko is no stranger to the food scene in Penang. Celebrating its two years anniversary in August 2021, Kenko’s atmosphere is certainly welcoming with lush greeneries all around. During the stay-at-home period, it has been delivering fresh and premium sashimi. To celebrate its second anniversary, it has introduced a spectacular meal, Salmon DIY Kit.
Unlike anything we have ever seen before, the Salmon DIY Kit lets you make your very own meal. The interesting kit comes with fresh salmon sashimi, fried salmon skin, Japanese rice, seaweed, ebiko, and some condiments on the side. It is easy and fun to make your own sushi, or in our case, taco-looking sushi (the editor is a true foodie, and nowhere near being a chef).
We love the fact that everything is well-packed, even the seaweed comes with its own bag to retain its crunchiness. As for the taste, we couldn’t get enough of the fried salmon skin. Be careful, try not to finish it before making your very own ‘taco’. Surprisingly filling, one Salmon DIY Kit is priced at RM36. It works as a meal or a sharing platter among family. Salmon DIY Kit is available for a limited time only.
This Spot Has Other Salmon Treats That You Wouldn’t Want To Miss Out On
Apart from the first-ever Salmon DIY Kit in Penang, Kenko is famous for all things salmon sashimi. You can opt for 250 grams for RM38 or a whopping 500 grams for RM75. For something more filling, you will be excited to know that 10 pieces of Salmon Sushi are only RM15. Stay healthy and fresh with Salmon Salad, it comes with cubes of salmon sashimi and some fresh greens on the side for RM23.
Salmon Ikura Don at RM28 has a beautiful fan of salmon sashimi on a bed of fluffy rice, with some ebiko on the sides. Apart from these fun salmon sashimi dishes, Kenko also offers a range of sushi, and rice sets such as Unajyu that guarantees to tickle any taste buds. After all, who can resist eating unagi with well-rounded umami flavours?
