KAKIYUKI Macalister Road Penang Will Be Closing Its Doors On 31st August 2021

For a meal to be satisfyingly complete, there will need to of course include dessert. While Penang has a rather vast dessert scene, this scorching weather dictates having cooling desserts like shaved ice as a hot weather remedy. This is where Penangites would often flock over to KAKIYUKI for some premium Japanese shaved ice. As good times will somehow come to an end, unfortunately, KAKIYUKI has just announced that its Penang outlet will be closing its doors.

If you’re a KAKIYUKI fan, then you’re familiar with the fact that they have an array Kakigori flavours like Uji Matcha, Tiramisu, Hojicha, Black Forest S’mores, and many more.

Then, they also have bite-sized Japanese desserts like Wagashi and Roll Cakes! In brief, KAKIYUKI is like a paradise filled with heavenly Japanese desserts.

Making this announcement on their official Instagram account, the post mentioned that the last day of operations will be on the 31st of August 2021. This isn’t the final goodbye though, as KAKIYUKI promises to reopen at a new location as soon as they are able to do so.
