Good evening Penangites! We’ve got some good news that we’re ready to share with you. Today, as of 17th April 2020, 12 PM, Malaysia reported 69 new cases, making the total to 5251. But, this marks the second day of having a two-digit increase in Malaysia’s new COVID-19 cases. More good news ahead so keep reading!
Zero New COVID-19 Cases Reported For 3 Days Straight In Penang
Quick flashback: Penang reported 3 new cases back on 14th April and from then on, there have been zero new cases. Simply put, for 3 consecutive days, Penang reported zero new COVID-19 cases. So, good job Penangites! As of 17th April 2020, the cumulative positive cases in Penang stands at 119.

Let us reiterate this fact, even though there were no new cases reported for 3 days straight, the work isn’t done. The figures merely show that if we all abide by MCO and stay home, we can all contribute to the flattening of the pandemic curve.
