Hi there our fellow Penangites! If you glue yourselves to the screen at 5 pm sharp daily for the Health Ministry’s press conference, then you knew that yesterday was a great day indeed. This is because Malaysia recorded two-figure new cases for the first time since the 14th of March. Well, now we know how effective is the MCO in flattening the pandemic curve.
Zero New COVID-19 Cases In Penang As Of 15th April 2020
Shall we now focus on Penang instead? Three days ago, there were zero new COVID-19 cases reported in Penang but on 14th April 2020, there were, unfortunately, (3) new cases. So, the cumulative COVID-19 cases as of 15th April in Penang stands at 119.
But more good news ahead: ever since the 3 new cases, Penang has not reported any new cases so far. These figures are updated on a daily basis, on the official Penang Fights COVID-19 page. For more updates on Penang’s initiative in curbing the pandemic, just head over to the Facebook page.
Now, even though Penang reports zero new cases, this doesn’t mean we’re all free to roam around. In fact, as we’re now entering the third phase of MCO, police officers have similarly increased the number of roadblocks around Penang.
We Can All Flatten The Curve By Staying Home
