There’s no denying that Bukit Mertajam is a food city full of hidden gems and old flavours! Recently, there’s also been a number of new eateries and cafes popping up. We spotted a brand new food court opening soon and in our opinion, has one of the coolest concepts . It’s City Camp, a glamping-themed food court that lets you dine al fresco with a camping vibe!
Glamping-Themed Food Court, City Camp Sets To Officially Open In March 2022:
We bet the word “glamping” is no longer a stranger for many in 2022. For those of you who didn’t know, glamping basically means camping plus glamour, a luxurious form of camping with aesthetic ambiance, upgraded equipments and facilities that provide more comfort and luxury.
Glamping in a food court? Yes you heard that right! Located just behind Liang Khee Tomyam at Taman Berjaya Baru, City Camp is a contemporary food court that boasts a 20,000 sqft space. Its al fresco dining is designed to have that glamping vibe. The garden is set up beautifully with aesthetic tents, huts and fairy lights to replicate a fancy camping site.
Currently, the space is still under renovation and only snacks and beer section are open for public. Once complete, City Camp will host about 18 to 22 stalls and vendors with different lip-smacking cuisine from different background. That includes Malaysian dishes like Hokkien Mee, Char Koay Teow, Authentic Chinese dishes, Thai fares and more!
We heard they are officially opening in March 2022, so stay tuned foodies!
