Korean Cinema Promotes Popcorn Featuring Masculine, Topless Male Model:
The cinema’s latest campaign to promote its upsized bags of popcorn features a masculine, shirtless man modeling along with the popcorn. Their campaign went viral within days and that’s because they’re too ‘delicious.’
One of the photos features the model laying on a bed of popcorn, shirtless, revealing his manly 8 packs, with a little popcorn ‘accidentally’ tucked underneath his pants. Another photo includes the good-looking man showering with popcorn.
There’s no denying that the upsized bags of popcorn have pretty cute packaging, but the model took all the attention and was the star of the show for sure.
If the aim of the campaign was to attract the audience’s attention, then they nailed it. We want to buy CGV cinema popcorn now! Just look at the photos!
Like every viral post, CGV cinema received backlash from netizens. Some commented that the photos were more like a call for sexual service, while others, accused the company of promoting food wastage.
CGV cinema has since responded and deleted the pictures, leaving only one picture that’s fully dressed.
