Staying at home equals to more screen time. And no matter what you’re going to watch, you can’t resist the temptation to nom on something light. Here’s a quick recipe for midnight snacks or movie night that you must try. Fair warning, it is a dangerous recipe. Once you have tasted a few, you will find yourself in a munching loop all day long.
Caramel Bread Popcorn
This quick, sweet, and sticky treat will be the only thing that you need after a long day. You can find most of the ingredients in your kitchen so go crazy and make a whole jar of these snacks! If you decide to make them in bulk., keep the bite-sized treats in an airtight container to preserve the crunchiness.
Ingredients:
- 2 slices of Bread
- 5 tbsp of Milk
- 4 tbsp of Sugar
- 3 tbsp of Water
- Butter
Step 1: Cut the bread into small dices and toast them thoroughly in a pan until it turns golden brown.
Step 2: Put in sugar and water in a pan and boil over medium-low heat. (Don’t stir!)
Step 3: When the syrup starts to boil, add a chunk of butter and boil again.
Step 4: Pour in the milk once the butter melted completely and the syrup starts to bubble.
Step 5: Stir until it turns into a creamy syrup and turn off the stove. Throw the toasted bread into the syrup and mix it thoroughly. Make sure that each of the cubes is fully covered
6. Drop the bread on a parchment paper and separate each from one another to avoid sticking. Cool it before eating and you are done!
Homemade Leisure Snacks
Now that you know the recipe, be sure to share it around to your friends and family. They will absolutely love these little cubes of diabetes. LOL! This is a dangerously delicious, crunchy snack. So share it around to feel less guilty. *wink wink*
