The cakes here have won so many people’s hearts for their style and flavours. They are unique and highly presentable. Roots Dessert Bar is designed in muted tones yet comfortable and their fridge full of desserts will melt your heart.

Their signature Watermelon Cake is only available on weekends. But, you can always try other desserts. Recently, they have released the Matcha Chocolate Tart, Passion Fruit Curd, and Matcha Tuile. Make sure you try them all!

The Maker can be found in the heart of George Town, blended in with the historical pre-war buildings. This cafe is definitely one of the dessert meccas we have in town. Environs with plants and a wooden dining set, it has a good ambiance with a huge and comfortable space. The price range is quite affordable too.

Carnarvon is a forest-themed cafe with a secret glasshouse tucked right behind the cafe. Built to fit only 1 table, environs with greens and natural lighting, the glasshouse is definitely the best spot to get beautiful and aesthetic pictures.

It is definitely one of the busiest cafes at Simpang Ampat as their best-sellers are often sold out by evening. Also, a simple interior decoration with a large sunset window, 65c Ondo will surely serve your feed some good aesthetic pictures!

6. 15 Grams Coffee Bar @ Room 18 Hair Salon

Another hidden gem in Room 18 Hair Salon, Bayan Baru. Unfortunately, dining in is not allowed temporarily due to the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO). Since 15 Grams Coffee Bar is located inside a hair salon, it might be inconvenient to hang out in groups.

GuaGua’s Store is a fruit cheesecake haven! Dragonfruit Kiwi Cheesecake, Cempedak & Yam Cheesecake, and even the classic Mango Cheesecake!
