If you have been following closely, you’ll know that the number of COVID-19 cases in Penang has been on the rise. This then is followed by several hawker centers temporarily ceasing their operations. Batu Lanchang Market Food Court is one of them. After days of voluntarily ceasing operations, the food court is now open with stricter SOPs in place.
Batu Lanchang Market Food Court Reopens Today
Back on 19th May 2021, 3 hawkers in Batu Lanchang Market Food Court were tested positive. With the safety of the public in mind, the hawkers unanimously decided to put their businesses to a temporary halt.
The food court was closed until 29th May 2021. Just yesterday, the hawkers were seen cleaning up their respective stalls, all set to reopen to the public today on the 31st of May.
Open For Takeaway Only
You can now get your favourite Nyonya Kuih or Nasi Tomato at the food court. But while you’re out, do remember to abide by all the SOPs and only take away all food or drinks. Stay safe, Penangites!
