Famous canned food brand, Ayam Brand, introduces the #AyamWithYou Food Pantry initiative nationwide to help provide food and supplies to the local community. There are 13 food pantries located across all states in Malaysia, including one here at The Children’s Protection Society in George Town. The orphanage is the first and only charity home in Penang to have set up the food pantry.

The waterproof food pantry located outside the home is stocked by donations received from residents. It is available to those that need the supplies, and it’s constantly topped up by the kids at the home when supplies run low. Ayam brand has suggested Halal donations only, such as their Ayam Brand canned products, snacks, medical and cleaning supplies.
“We sent out messages by WhatsApp and Facebook that the food pantry items are free for those who need, while those who want to contribute can add dry foods, snacks stationery, cleaning products and other essential items. The children relish the responsibility of managing the food pantry and keeping it well-stocked. Ayam Brand Have Supported Many Charities For The Past 12 Years
The brand is well-known for being active in Corporate Social Responsibility programmes over the years. They have contributed over 2 million meals to more than 21,800 people, from 524 charity organisations over the past 12 years.
