Are there any noodles lovers here? For those who love savouring noodles, then we have a place in Penang that you need to check out. Aunty Q Noodles over at Arena Curve lets you DIY your very own bowl of noodles. And the best part, you can even choose from over 50 different toppings! Now let’s check out what’s good at Aunty Q Noodles.
Aunty Q Noodles: Serving Noodles & More Comfort Food In Penang
If Aunty Q sounds a tad familiar to you, that’s because their first outlet is located at Summerton. Over in their first outlet, they serve dishes that comfortably remind you of home like Char Koay Teow, Fried Rice, and many more. Their second outlet located at Arena Curve is a go-to spot for noodles but you can also find their signatures served here too.
DIY Noodles With Various Ingredients & Soup Base
We all love deciding what goes into our bowl of noodles. Aunty Q lets you decide from start to finish; pick your own noodles, ingredients as well as the soup base. What’s worth highlighting is that there are over 50 ingredients available ranging from seafood like prawns, scallops, squid, and fish as well meats and vegetables.
Our favourite soup base has got to be the Papa Tomyum that’s cooked upon order. Taste-wise, it has enough sour and spicy notes that complement one another so well that you’ll want more of it.
Aside from Tomyum, Aunty Q Noodles also has other soup bases like Kepah Noodles Soup, Fish Head Soup, Asambelai Soup, Special Made Spicy Soup, Hokkien Mee Soup and more.
Aunty Q Signature Crispy Roasted Pork
If you’re a regular at Aunty Q, you know that their must-try is the crispy roasted pork (Siu Yuk). You can order the Siu Yuk here as an appetizer or a snack, it’s entirely up to you. Better yet, you can also have their Crispy Roasted Pork paired with rice or noodles.
Another popular item at Aunty Q is the Pork Lard Rice which comes with crispy deep-fried pork lard, luncheon meat, and egg to be paired with their signature gravy. Mix them all together and the taste will bring you back to the good old, simple childhood days.
Japanese Curry Rice
Aside from classic local favourites, you can also try out Japanese Curry Rice which is available in different options like Fish, Roasted Pork, Seafood, Pork Chop, Chicken Chop and many more.
Snack Bar
If you’re having a meal with a group of friends or your family, then be sure to order up their array of snacks. Our personal favourites include their Loh Bak, Fried Squid Salted Egg Sauce as well as Teochew Kuang Jiang.
