Crowd-Favourite Taiwanese Restaurant 600cc Is Now Open At Bishop Street, Penang
600cc is no stranger to Taiwanese food lovers in Penang. When it first opened up many years ago mainly operating in malls, there was always a flow of crowd at each outlet. The notable 600cc outlets are the ones located at Tesco e-Gate (now Lotus’s) and Sunway Carnival Mall.
Due to the implementation of MCO, 600cc was forced to cease operations at the E-Gate outlet. This means that islanders would have to travel across the bridge just for a bowl of their tasty Beef Noodle Soup.
But guess what? They are back once again operating at a new location along Bishop Street. 600cc is still serving the same menu that we’ve all come to love over the years.
The new outlet is a comfortable space with a simple interior; making sure the main focus is on its heartwarming Taiwanese dishes.
Some of the must-order items include the signature Beef Noodles Soup which comes packed with aromatic broth, springy noodles, and tender beef chunks. To pair with this dish, we’d highly recommend the Red Milk Tea that comes with chewy pearls. Almost feels like we’re transported to Taiwan for a bit.
Every day from 11.30 AM to 2.30 PM, there are Set Menu items to pick from including Chicken Minced Rice, Taiwan Sausage Rice, and also some noodle options. Each set meal comes with a choice of drink and jelly. For dessert, wrap up your meal with their melt-in-your-mouth Peanut Shaved Ice that consists of peanut chunks, a scoop of ice cream and some pearls.
