#1 Junk Cafe
Don’t get fooled by its name “Junk”. In fact, it is a hidden gem located at Chulia Street, Penang.
Junk Cafe is your next cafe’s bucket list in Penang. They are famous for their homemade burger, cocktail and fragrant coffee. Don’t let without trying it.
We love the vibe here, the tastefully done interior features classic furnishings with a playful touch. The old charm has stolen our heart.

#2 Sugar On Top
Sugar On Top (SOT) is a brand new cafe soft launched this month! SOT has 3 branches under the same name in Johor Bharu and they located their 4th one in Penang.
SOT sells delicious grub such as pasta, dessert, burger, cake and finger food. The must try desserts are Hokkaido Matcha Hotcake, Merry Berry Hotcake and Signature Charcoal Waffle.
So lovely!
Oh! I heard Mix Berry Shake and Rose Latte both are nice too!

#3 Roots Dessert Bar
Roots Dessert Bar is our number 2 pick in this week’s 5 places to eat in Penang. The menu comprises of an array of uncommon desserts has certainly come to merit the title – dessert bar!
Must try are Watermelon cake, Banana Foster Trifle and Chocolate Soil.

#4 Merry Me
Merry Me is owned by the same production team behinds Ice Estate. In 2017, they have successfully transformed from a single range of product into varieties of more than 40 desserts in their cafe.

#5 Royaltea 皇茶
Its grand opening will be held on 27/05/17, Saturday from 12pm-4pm. Royaltea will be giving out free tastings of beverages and free balloons for kids. Check in and like their Facebook page or Instagram during the grand opening and you are entitled 20% voucher for your next purchase along with free photo booth pictures.
