Greetings foodies! A lot sure has happened in 2020, so who’s excited for a brand new year? Let us kickstart 2021 with the “new year, new me” but on food. A couple of brands are venturing into Penang, specifically Gurney Paragon Mall and we can’t wait for the new faces in town. This includes the famous Isaac Toast and JUICY from Korea and Yoyo Wich!
New Food Brands Are Coming to Gurney Paragon Mall by This December & January:
#1 Isaac Toast
We’re sure many of you have heard or even tasted the famous Korean toasts. For those of you who didn’t know, Isaac Toast is the No.1 Korean toast brand that started off in 1995. Today, it has more than 800 outlets in Korea, and are available in most parts of the world, with a tagline of “Make freshness into new lifestyle.” They had a limited pop-up over at Hold Up Cafe a few months ago, but hey, they’re officially opening up a space at Level 1 Gurney Paragon Mall in Mid January 2021!
Our Muslim friends, rejoice! Isaac Toast caters to all regardless of your background. That being said, all ingredients used are Halal certified and operate by mixture of Chinese and Muslim staffs. What makes Isaac Toast so special is their special sauce, known as the “Isaac sauce,” so try it out for yourself. For spicy lover, try out the Buldak sauce with hot chicken MVP for an extra kick of heat! If you’re hungry or need a grab-and-go, Isaac Toast is the way to go, with delivery available.
#2 JUICY Fresh Juice Bar
Hands down one of editors favourite juice bar, JUICY is the No.1 Juice brand from Korea. Founded in 2010, it has since become a global franchise enterprise with over 800 outlets in South Korea alone. JUICY offers a wide selection of juices, going from basics to premium.
An everyday juice bar, the brand strives to deliver natural, and fresh fruit juice to everyone, at an affordable price. This is great for people who are hustling out there but would like to replenish their nutrients in between. Now that JUICY is opening on the 19th of December 2020 at Lower Ground, we highly recommend you guys to try out their Avocado Shake with Chocolate for that indulgent, yet still healthy good stuff. Good news, JUICY’s B1F1 Wednesday means you’ll get a free M-sized juice when you purchase one every Wednesday. The all-day applicable for walk-in and on selected juices, free juice must also be the same flavor as purchased juice.
#3 Yoyo Wich
Yoyo Wich is another sandwich joint offering their own version of Asian Sandwich with freshly baked baguettes and fillings that the head chef curates to suit the Asian taste buds. It is an all-day dining cafe that will satisfy your cravings from day to night. They also serve homemade cakes, house coffee, tea and juice, a casual spot for hangouts.
They’re coming to us Penangites with a bang on 22nd of January 2021 at Level 2 of Gurney Paragon Mall so make sure to enjoy a healthy baguette filled with freshly prepared ingredients at YoYo Wich! Fun Fact: There’s no added artificial additives like MSG in their recipes.
