As we Penangites know, Escape Theme Park is one of the most exciting places for adventurers in Penang. A few years back, Escape Theme Park had only dry land activities until not too long ago, Escape Water Theme Park was built right opposite of it. Now that Escape Theme Park has both dry and wet activities, it has since become even popular. Did you know that Escape Water Theme Park has the longest slide in the world with a length of 1 kilometer? You’ll have to be chair-lifted by 420m in order to slide down.

2. World’s Highest Rope Course Challenge @ TheGravityz
Penang Komtar has been Penangites’ proudest building of all time and it has been enhanced for a while now. The Gravityz is located on the 65th floor at The Top in Komtar, featuring activities that involves one of the best high-altitude sports platforms in ASEAN. Besides that, They are known as the world’s highest rope course challenge in Penang’s tallest building with a height of 239m above ground. It might sound scary and all until you experience it with your eyes. Yes, your eyes. Standing at an altitude like this gives you a whole new meaning towards breathtaking views. However, you’re required to book the tickets in advance right here.

3. Penang Balik Pulau Countryside Cycling Tours
There are plenty of places you can go with a two-wheel manually operated bicycle but most of us don’t really cycle nowadays. Experience one of a kind of cycle tours at Balik Pulau, you’ll be convinced that cycling is actually one hella fun. Attractions in Balik Pulau are not shown on the main roads, hidden from the hillside durian farms to its fishing villages, no other way is better to enjoy them on the seat of a bicycle.

4. Penang Longest Forest Trail @ Telok Bahang/Batu Ferringhi
Now don’t go on to say you’ve seen the beauty of nature in Penang until you’ve been to Penang’s longest forest trail. There are multiple starting points such as Taman Rimba Teluk Bahang, but we would say Chin Farm as the beginning point is the most challenging one. Here’s a summary: Trek along from Chin Farm to Bukit Laksamana, then Western Hill and finally Penang Hill.
Along with exhaustion from hiking comes with rewards of breathtaking nature’s view. The waterfall will be your first “Wow” during the journey. After a few ups and downs, you’ll reach the first station signboard that guides you to Penang Hill and Telok Bahang, your true journey starts there! Don’t forget to bring plenty of snacks and drinks and all the essentials like First-Aid Kit, gloves and put on your comfortable outfit.

5. Saanen Dairy Goat Farm at Balik Pulau
Now, of course, outdoor activities are not all about getting yourself sweaty and tired. If you want to go easy on yourself, Saanen Dairy Goat Farm at Balik Pulau is your choice. Now, they’re not all about goats here, you can also find yourself looking at deers and rabbits! You’ll get yourself a chance to feed the goats with their favorite food and watch them munch adorably. They do sell lots of fresh dairy goat’s product, milk, and yogurt will be your first choice, you’d be finding yourself enjoying the popsicle in no time. They’re located pretty deep inside the village, make sure to be patient!

6. Monkey Beach
Monkey Beach has been the perfect getaway spot for people looking for peacefulness away from the city. This is where you can chill by the beach at Monkey Beach accompanied by local monkies. They have an official campsite available if you’re looking for a simple stay. Now, who said anything about no good food allowed for outdoor activities. You’ll be enjoying food, outdoor! There are also hiking activities available as well as ATVs ride. ATV ride is, of course, our favorite!

7. Watersports @ Beach BoraBora Batu Ferringhi
Daredevils don’t get disappointed just yet! The beach right in front of BoraBora gives you all sorts of extreme watersports to suit your courage. If jet skiing and parasailing are your favorite watersports, this is your spot.
If your feet get cold from hearing the word parasailing, you may consider milder watersports like banana boat riding and sailing. Make sure to keep an eye at BoraBora Beach Bar & Restaurant to find your way into the watersports area!

8. Penang Butterfly Farm @ Entopia
Entopia is the largest butterfly garden not just in Penang, but in the whole Malaysia! Featuring over 15,000 free-flying butterflies, they’re not all about these beautiful winged-creatures either, from invertebrates to small reptiles living in the re-created natural habitat, Entopia has it all. Plus, the breeze and views are amazing in there.
Did we mention it’s especially perfect for visitors with kids to see this amazing habitat? They also have more than 200 species of plants with waterfall, ponds, caves and other astonishing garden features. What’s better than doing outdoor activities indoor? If you’re up for it, be prepared to get surrounded by hundreds of butterflies! Just be sure not to hurt those little friends while you’re in there.

9. Penang Countryside Stables
Riding a horse has always been awe for most of the Penangites but fear not as this Countryside Stables will let you experience it in the best way. You’ll find yourself standing in the middle looking at all the beautiful horses and hesitate which one to pick. All the horses in there are very friendly and well-trained, you can even pet them! Don’t worry if you have kids to bring because there’s also pony ride available.

10. Teluk Bahang Dam
This place may sound very ordinary given that it’s just a dam, what’s so great about it? Well, you’re going to change your mind when you’re standing on the very top of the hill looking at the crystal clear lake water. A place that is 15 minutes away from Batu Ferringhi beach that gives you a serene canvas of blues and greens. Fun fact: This dam was built as an alternative source of water supply to the Ayer Itam Dam and the Botanic Gardens Waterfall!
