They serve higher quality single-origin coffee which yields specific taste, or you could pick their tasting plate to sample the difference in taste between Espresso and flat white. “Junk themed cafe in Penang like what?!” Located at the center of Georgetown, Junk Cafe is a hidden gem not known by the locals but flocked with tourists instead. Don’t let them set you back, this place serves pretty spot on burgers at an acceptable cafe price. The owner gathers and decorates the cafe with “junks.” By night, Junk Cafe is super happening, loud jams, tourists, beers and alcohol, good food. Their burger patties and sauces are all self-made, your hands will get dirty for sure. There’s a wide selection of alcohol to choose from, so order one to pair it with your burger!

If you’re a mobile game addict, you might have played or heard or Clash of Clans. It was so popular that someone eventually opened up a Clash of Clan inspired cafe in Penang. The interior is heavily decorated with the game’s avatars and scenes. Even some of the mains uses the names in the game. And yes their mains are pretty good as well and they’re pork-free. Clash on Cafe do serve cakes and alcohol though.

7. Jdog House & Cafe

An animal-themed cafe in Penang, dogs to be precise, Jdog is set in Arena Curve. While the menu offered here is limited and simple, the main attraction is the furry kids. Their dogs are certainly warm, perfect for pet lovers to mingle around with the furry kids. They have a petting zone where you have to buy a drink as admission fee. There are couches and tables in there to place your drinks and stuff though foods and snacks are not allowed. Play with the husky, golden retriever and more furry kids all you want in here. it’s like a pet heaven.

Prices are surprisingly affordable for their mains, especially for their breakfast, lunch and dinner sets, which are considered valuable. Staffs over there are very approachable so don’t be afraid to ask questions. Don’t miss out their Espresso Chicken and self-baked pizza, they’re both so good it’s Penang Foodie approved.

Known to have unique concepts, Merry Me is no stranger as it has a few branches and this is their new one in Auto City. What’s more? They serve handcrafted ice creams and macarons with flavors such as salted egg, gula melaka and more seasonal flavors. Just take a look at how cute and magical the cafe is.   1. I need a dessert shop as dream mansion where they provide ice cream in a big bowl with many scoops. Since the dream mansion shop closed permanently, I would like to have a dessert shop just like that.
