COVID-19: Penang Now Reports Zero Active Cases, With 120 Fully Recovered

Good evening Penangites! We’ve got some good news that we’re ready to share with you. Today, as of 4th May 2020, 12 PM, Malaysia reported 55 new cases, making the total to 6353.  But, let’s focus on Penang’s statistics and we just have to say, there’s good news ahead so keep reading!

Penang Now Reports Zero Active Cases

Quick flashback: Penang recently reported 2 new cases back on 26th April 2020 and since then, there have been zero new cases. Simply put, for 8 consecutive days, Penang reported zero new COVID-19 cases. Today, as of the 4th of May, the 2 cases have recovered thus, Penang now has 0 active cases. So, good job Penangites!

Let us reiterate this fact, even though there are now no active cases in Penang, with 120 recovered cases, the work isn’t done. The figures merely show the effectiveness of MCO and that if we all stay home, we can all contribute to the flattening of the pandemic curve.
