A Classic At Tanjong Toking For More Than A Decade
A decade ago, Penangites were so excited when Tesco is opening in Tanjung Tokong. Along with the opening, there was one particular restaurant on the ground floor that became a crowd favourite among Penangites very quickly, Mizi Bistro. With simple decorations, it carries a wide range of western dishes. By memory, there was a value set strategically priced at RM25.
The set comes with bread (with square cubes of butter) in a basket, well-loved mushroom soup, beverage of your choice, and main dishes of your choice. Of course, who can forget the free flow ice cream? Fans of the classic flavours such as chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla ice-cream would be often seen walking back to the ice-cream case to get another scoop or more.
Closing Permanently On 30th September 2021
It is unfortunate that Mizi Bistro has announced that it will be closing permanently. Its touching post mentioned that the last day of operations will be on 30th September 2021. In addition to this information, the team behind Mizi Bistro mentioned that they are extremely grateful for the support throughout ten years of service. For the end note, it says, “We wish you all the best for a happy and prosperous future.”
In the comment section, there are many netizens who are reminiscing the good times they had in Mizi Bistro, while others are stating their favourite dishes from the OG restaurant. There is some time left until it will be closing permanently. With that said, do remember to support them while you can. According to the previous Facebook post by Mizi Bistro, it announced that it is available on GrabFood.

These is very sad news. Was a regular at their previous premises even before I knew it was owned by an ex-pupil’s parents. Made loads of memories here as well. Served great food at a super reasonable price. My nieces loved their all you can eat ice cream buffet, too. I hope they be able to reopen once things get better.
