Jabil Circuit Factory Temporary Closure
Shared by Penang Kini on Facebook, a part of Jabil Circuit Factory at FIZ Bayan Lepas received an order from the Ministry Of Health (MOH) to close temporarily. This decision has to be made to avoid the spread of Coronavirus at Plant 1 at Hilir Sungai Keluang 1, Bayan Lepas, after a Covid-19 assessment by the Ministry of Health (MoH) on Nov 25. The factory will be closed starting from 29th December 2020 – 7th January 2021.
In a statement today, the company said all other Jabil sites in Penang remained operational. Furthermore, as of Nov 25, more than 2,000 Jabil employees have been tested with 21 confirmed positive cases. “Jabil is complying with all the necessary precautionary measures and working closely with the MOH, local government officials and local health authorities to follow protocols,” it said.

Hopefully, people who are living or working close to the area are in good shape. Meanwhile, remember friends to practice the SOP wherever you are. Although most of the borders are open right now, you have the power to make the right choices. Avoid physical contact and please refrain from taking children and senior citizens into crowded areas.
