Hey hey foodies! Do you ever wake up and find yourself in need of some caffeine? There are some who will make themselves a cup of coffee while some, a cup of tea. Like everything, taste is subjective so there’s bound to be some of us who love a cup of aromatic hand-pulled milk tea. If you’re one of them, then this post is for you. Because Gold Tea, an outlet specialising in silky smooth milk tea is set to open its first outlet in Penang soon!
Gold Tea Penang, A New Spot For Delicious Hong Kong Fares
Like always, we’ll run through some background details. Gold Tea specialises in Hong Kong Milk Tea. To be more specific, ‘Silk Stocking’ Milk Tea, or otherwise known as 絲襪奶茶. In case you’re wondering why such a name, it’s largely attributed to the filter used to separate tea leaves that finally creates a cup of silky smooth milk tea.
If you love all things that are adorable, Gold Tea serves their Iced Milk Tea with a super cute Teddy Bear ice sculpture right on top you’ll need to add to your drink.
In addition to that unique item on its menu, Gold Tea also serves a variety of sandwiches called Golden Eggwich. To gauge your visual memory, it’s those thick sandwiches with unique fillings from Korea. We’re pretty sure that you’ve seen it on your feed at least once.
Let’s admit that we all love some really good Hong Kong food. There are some outlets serving that in Penang but with the opening of Gold Tea, we’ll have one more to try out. Featuring some of the renowned HK food such as Polo Bun, Tau Fu Fah, French Toast and more.

Gold Tea opened its very first outlet in Malaysia over in Subang Jaya. Now, they’re expanding over to Penang and it’ll be opening on 28th June in All Seasons Place. Are you guys ready for a food adventure?
