BREAKING: CMCO Officially Extended Up Till 9 June 2020 In Malaysia

It is officially in from the nationwide announcement by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin that the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) will be extended all the way to 9 June 2020. This will see the 6th stage of the MCO and 2nd stage of the CMCO to be carried out in the following week.

CMCO Will Continue On For Another Month Till 9 June

PM Tan Sri Muhyiddin has expressed that even though the coronavirus has been under control and new cases per day have been decreasing every day. However, it has not reached a complete defeat of the virus that the country has hoped for. Hence, the extension is necessary to further curb the outbreak of the COVID-19.

CMCO has been ongoing since 4 May and it has been going well. During this time, businesses are allowed to open accordingly but has to adhere to stringent SOPs. This goes without saying that SOPs taking place during the CMCO will continue on till 9 June as well. Apart from that, interstate travel will continue to banned unless necessary approval is retrieved from police officials. This is the same for all ceremonial celebrations including Hari Raya, Hari Gawai and Hari Kamatan.

According to a worldwide study, Malaysia is placed 4th amongst other countries in controling the outbreak of the COVID-19. This comes with the efforts of all frontliners in working continuously day and night in during crucial times.

Continue To Stay Home As Much As You Can

It is advised to everyone staying in the red zone to continue to stay home as much as you can and not head outside if not necessary. For those staying in the green zone, do continue to stay cautious and continue efforts of maintaining hygiene efforts. Stay strong Malaysians, we will overcome this!
