Their menu ranges from local breakfast dishes such as toasted bread with soft boiled egg to rice and noodles dishes and porridge and congee for both lunch and dinner.

Don’t leave without trying their super yummy Indian Style Curry Fish Fillet. This curry is creamy from the coconut milk with a slight tinge of tanginess to balance out the creaminess. One of the oldest Chinese food joints in Penang, Hon Kei needs no further introduction. The brand is known for serving Pork Noodles and has a newly refurbished restaurant along Lorong Kampung Malabar. Their menu is simple with the option of noodles and porridge.

A must-order is the pork noodles with a generous amount of minced pork and pork innards. By looking at the golden broth in this bowl of noodles, you can tell the broth is rich in flavour. Their porridge version is good as well. The rice grains are soft but not completely mushy so you still get a bit of texture in each mouthful. You’ll be leaving this spot wanting more because of how tasty it is.
