Would you believe that THE Anthony Bourdain sat on one of these tables and at a bowl of wan tan mee that brought a smile to his face!  YEAP. It did. And If you’re a fan of THE man just like me, you’ve gotta give this signific a shot.  Along with the Char Koay Teow and Satay, CF Food court being the biggest food court in the downtown Georgetown and offering a wide array of hawker menu for a non-touristic price, all you gotta do is step in and look for an empty table.

3. Cliff Cafe

Located right at the top of Penang Hill, Cliff Cafe also known as Astaka Bukit Bendera is occupied by more than 33 hawker stalls to choose from.  With a panoramic view set 821m high above Penang’s capital, whoever said one can’t dine in with style without breaking the bank. Prices ranging from RM5 for a plate of Char Koay Teow, there’s hardly anything to complain about.

4. Goodall Food Court

From Lok Lok to Ikan Bakar (Grilled Fish) and fusion street-style dishes, this place has it all. Offering more than 100 tables to fill in, don’t be surprised if you find yourself waiting for an unoccupied table. Being a street food galore, this food court in Georgetown is definitely the place for locals and guest.

6. New Lane Hawker Center

Living up to its hype, New lane Hawker Center is a  food court in Penang that does the crowd justice as the lane closes down for stalls to kindle the heat, fry up their signatures and serve the ever-growing queue. Opting for their Char Koay Teow, fried oyster, and porridge that you get to customize with your favorite chunky toppings, the way to get there is with a hungry belly.  This is street as it gets.

7. Northam Beach Cafe
