And true to its tag line, there are over 10 dogs here so it’s a paradise if you LOVE DOGS. Besides, spending time with our fluffy friends is a surefire way to relax and unwind right?

Koji Fusion is a new cafe in the neighbourhood and most of us will be intrigued by its sleek facade. Aside from its modern exterior, Koji Fusion takes Japanese and Western cuisine up a few notches by fusing them into one. Their delicious menu is served in a minimalist and tempting way, making you wanna dig in immediately. Also, the overall ambience here is rather relaxing and is perfect for a date night.

If you’ve ever been to Hungary or Prague, this next dessert is pretty common there. Known as Chimney Cake, this traditional dessert melts the hearts of many. Cruzty is Penang’s first-ever dessert cafe to serve Chimney Cake Softserve. Consisting of a golden brown perfection baked dough, it’s topped with either Cinnamon Sugar, Toasted Coconut or others. Then, ice cream will be filled into the chimney cake with a final touch of your preferred toppings. Get fancy with their 24K gold leaves and gold flakes Chimney Cake Softserve.

This next spot is a new cafe that’s tucked in Bukit Mertajam. Considering its new addition into the coffee scene in Penang, 老巷子 De Antique is making quite an impact among coffee lovers. They serve quality coffee and their signature must-try here is the Watermelon Cake. Also, the exterior here blooms with an antique impression, thus the name. With its relaxing ambience, 老巷子 De Antique is quite the perfect place for a cuppa.

Serving Big Breakfast and really good coffee, this relatively new Kopitiam strikes the perfect balance between Western and Continental. The ambience of this cafe is rather relaxing and couple it with a slice of toast and a cup of coffee, it’s breakfast done right.

6. Fusion Bakery @ Bayan Bay

A new bakery in Penang, Fusion Bakery specialises in a wide array of home-baked cakes. Established 2 years ago along Chew Jetty, Fusion Bakery has opened another outlet nearby Queensbay Mall. This shop isn’t an ordinary bakery as you can expect to find really delicious Butter cakes with neither preservatives nor colourings at a reasonable price. The cakes at Fusion Bakery are fluffy with a light texture making them perfect as tea-time snacks.

But this time around, they’ve brought back our all-time favourite Zinger Cheezilla &  introduced a brand new Zinger Stacker and we can’t stop raving about them. Zinger Cheezilla consists of a deep-fried Mozarella patty while the Zinger Stacker, as its name goes, has double Zinger fillets stacked upon one another. Just like their teaser ‘it’s about to get heavier’, KFC has outdone themselves again. Have you guys tried them?
