IKEA Penang Sold 32,000 Meatballs On Opening Day!

IKEA’s first branch in Penang opened its doors to the public on 14th March 2019. First hit news. Then comes the massive crowd which caused a 1KM gridlock, second hit news. And today, we’ve got a third hit news regarding IKEA: Over 32,000 meatballs and 23,600 curry puffs were sold off on ONE day. One day guys, that’s a really big deal right? Let that sink in and you will eventually come to understand why the sales for these meatballs actually soared; i mean, that thick, aromatic gravy which complements the saliva-drooling meatballs…this news doesn’t come as much of a surprise, really.

In case you didn’t know, IKEA fans even started queuing from as early as 7AM so that they could be the first ones to explore this Swedish retailer’s furniture store.

Also, in conjunction with their opening day, patrons at IKEA will be able to enjoy special deals and offers as well as participate in various activities tailored for families such as balloon sculpturing, mascot appearances, face painting and plenty others.
