Built in 1888, St. Anne’s Church has grown into a popular tourist destination due to its rich history. The site consists of both the old chapel and the new church which was completed in 2002. If you’re visiting Bukit Mertajam in the month of July then you should seize the opportunity by experiencing the annual St. Anne’s feast celebration. The 10-day-long celebration includes a candlelight procession on the 26th of July and an open-air concert at the church’s grounds the night before the festival ends. In fact, the festival draws pilgrims both locally and internationally with crowds reported up to 100,000 making it an experience not to be missed.

Cherok Tokun Nature Park is the perfect place to burn some calories during your stay in Bukit Mertajam.
