Urban Daybreak needs no further introduction to their yummy mouth-watering waffles, crispy and just fluffy enough to let you have a little bit of both worlds. Unbeknownst to Penangites, another finger-licking good hidden brunch option they have in their menu is none other than the Urban’s Grilled Cheese Sandwich. With a medley of cheese grilled to perfection, homemade blueberry jam and balsamic reduction, this is what we would call a cheesy attack!

One of the classics of Mr.Wang is their Tamago-Katsu Sando that comes with sweet Japanese egg (tamago) breaded and fried on the outside, paired with their signature sauce, sandwiched between two lightly toasted bread. The sweetness of the tamago is perfectly balanced with the sauce. It’s amazing and just suitable for sharing with your friends!

The toasted bread is not too thin nor it’s too thick, just the perfect size while the cheese and the fillings are also on point. We absolutely approve of the generous amount of cheese in the sandwich, not to boot the fries are not too greasy, just delicious! You can’t miss this goodness!

What’s the recipe to a good sandwich? We believe that it lies within the making of the bread and also the fillings going in between the bread slices. Though the sandwich from Wheeler’s looks simple, they’re able to capture the very essence of a sandwich, fluffy bread with ham that brings forth a little saltiness and a good touch of vegetables. This is the place to be in the morning!

Perhaps this is what people call saving the best for last. Littlejourneyman is a cafe applaudable for their raclette cheese – the first one ever in the entire Penang and no one does it as good as them. If you’re a HUGE fan of cheese then you surely heard of this place. Unbeknownst to many, the panini they have in the house is pretty awesome as well!
