Let’s be honest, most of us haven’t heard of Kurtos Kalacs until Rollney—a dessert shop located at Leith Street—opened its doors in Penang back in 2017. So, what exactly is a Kurtos Kalac? Kurtos Kalacs or more commonly known as Hungarian chimney cakes are a type of Hungarian pastry where sweet, yeast dough is rolled onto a cone and baked fresh.
